Window Leak Causes Mold
We like to be confident that the exterior of our home protects the interior of our home. That is unfortunately not always the case. And not the case in this situation.
These local Hilliard homeowners had no idea that there was an area on the outside of their home that was allowing water to make its way inside the home. They started to notice the paint starting to bubble. That was their sign to call in the professionals.
When our SERVPRO Team arrived on site, our technicians used our state of the art moisture meters to determine where exactly the water damage in the wall was. Once the affected area was located, the drywall had to be removed to dry out the studs as you can see in the after picture.
You can also see in the after picture that there is mold growing. Since the leak went on for so long, it was the perfect environment for mold to grow.
Our SERVPRO Team worked hard to dry out this area, remove the mold, and replace the affected wall so the homeowners could get back to enjoying their home.
